Pro-vaccine logic in a nutshell

Pro vaccine "logic" is insane. Truly. It boggles the mind. In short, it's illogical. But here are a few summarised  arguments all based on actual converstaions with 'pro vaxxers'.

Logic 1:

Pro vaxxer: Cases of measles declined after the MMR was added to the vaccine schedule. Vaccines did that!
"Anti Vaxxer": Confirmed cases of Whooping cough increased after the DTaP vaccine was routinely given to pregnant women.
Pro vaxxer: Correlation doesn't mean causation!!!
Me: 😑

Logic 2:

Anti Vaxxer: I'd rather keep my child healthy and take our chances with the natural diseases than risk them being disabled or killed by the vaccines.
Pro vaxxer: That's so terrible! You hate autistic people, you hate disabled people!... Even if vaccines do cause autism, I'd rather have a disabled/autistic child [from the vaccine] than a dead one [from the disease]....
Same pro vaxxer: If your child was left disabled from polio or sterile from mumps you'd wish you vaccinated then.
Me: 😏

Logic 3

Pro vaxxer: Vaccines are safe! We need everyone to have their vaccines for herd immunity! If you don't vaccinate your child you are risking infecting people who are too young or too ill to receive vaccines!
Me: Wait, I thought vaccines are safe? If they are safe why are some people 'too ill' or 'too young' to have them 🤔
