An apology

So, I was planning on making this blog purely a collection of vaccine-reaction screenshots to highlight how unsafe vaccines are. I'll be honest, in the first week alone I save and bookmarked so many posts that a) I didn't have time to organise them, edit out identifying info (names etc), and publish them here. And b) after 3 weeks of saving these posts I was so thoroughly disheartened by the whole thing, the sheer number of vaccine damaged babies, that I took a step back and stopped looking at those groups and scrolling past any posts that mentioned vaccines. However, in the last week or so, vaccines have come under my radar again and I think it's time I started posting. So at some point I will endeavour to post up the numerous posts I bookmarked, but alongside that there will be other posts, challenging the hypocrisy and illogicality of the "pro vaccine" argument. Please bear with me.

Pro-vaccine logic in a nutshell

Pro vaccine "logic" is insane. Truly. It boggles the mind. In short, it's illogical. But here are a few summarised  arguments all based on actual converstaions with 'pro vaxxers'. Logic 1: Pro vaxxer: Cases of measles declined after the MMR was added to the vaccine schedule. Vaccines did that! "Anti Vaxxer": Confirmed cases of Whooping cough increased after the DTaP vaccine was routinely given to pregnant women. Pro vaxxer: Correlation doesn't mean causation!!! Me: 😑 Logic 2: Anti Vaxxer: I'd rather keep my child healthy and take our chances with the natural diseases than risk them being disabled or killed by the vaccines. Pro vaxxer: That's so terrible! You hate autistic people, you hate disabled people!... Even if vaccines do cause autism, I'd rather have a disabled/autistic child [from the vaccine] than a dead one [from the disease].... Same pro vaxxer: If your child was left disabled from polio or sterile from mump...

A collection of posts in the last 24hrs

The point of this blog.

Day in & day out we see the same messages again and again... 'Vaccines are safe!' ... 'If you don't vaccinate you're irresponsible... risking your child and others getting sick!'... 'Vaccines save lives!' and so on and so on. Yet spend any amount of time on any forum or social media and the picture painted is very different. On a daily basis I see numerous vaccine reaction posts from parents firmly in the 'pro vaccine' camp. And I see countless more that people don't even realise are vaccine reactions, like eczema/irritability/bowel problems/digestive issue/skin rashes etc etc that just so happen to have begun right around 8/12/16 weeks. So this is me documenting just the posts I come across on Facebook. Not even taking into account all the similar posts on other platforms and social media. I'm not in many mum groups either so these are just the ones coming from my contacts or a handful of mum groups I am in.
